- I helped out with the Complete Universities Guide, which included coming up with ideas, researching and writing features. This also meant quickly learning about different universities and their history and making contacts

- I put copy onto the website and the mobile site before the Saturday night deadlines

- Observed how editorial decisions are made and how the website comes together.

During this time I did work experience one day a week at the News of the World’s online department.
- I put together web pages on Dreamweaver and Escenic
- Wrote articles for the online audience
- I updated content on the reality TV pages, I found new stories from the news wires and other sources, wrote the copy and edited the pictures in Photoshop
- Used Typepad to update the showbiz and sports blogs
- Updated the index pages
- Went on a couple of photo shoots to observe the interviews and the work of editing the video footage for the website.
